History: Alexis started off in school as your typical brain box, geek, top of class, teased and bullied, braided hair, glasses, braces, the works. She hated school, but she loved science, especially physics. Originally, she had been planning to go straight to University, however, with encouragement from her Dad who was an ex-military man himself, she joined the Air Force. This seemed a bit strange to the rest of those around her, but what people didn't know was that she was actually a very strong person, and being in the Air Force, doing flight training etc helped her out of her box and made her a strong and confident person.
After several years of service, her superior saw her potential, and she managed to get funding to go to University to do a Doctorate in Astrophysics. Soon after that, she was picked up by the Stargate programme, working out of the SGC on one of the offworld teams she had been to her fair share of planets and been on many missions.
