Jack stepped through the gate, his p90 clenched in his hand, and his pistol at his side. Less then a second ago, jack was in the sgc. He had selected these three because of their talents. Daniel, because that was always an asset on a mission to an off world, Kaylee, because it looked like she was getting tired of being on a laptop, and Soo, well just because she could use the experiences.
At first glimpse, the world was not half bad. They had sent the malp through first, to see if they could actually travel on that world. IT had proven successful and they prepared their gear accordingly. The world was odd, due to the fact that it had sand all over, but trees and lakes were like those inn a forest.
"Feels like the beach don't it?" said Jack taking a breath of air, and stepping of the steps to the gate, his boot going deep into the sand. Too bad he had not brought hsi fishing gear with him. This would be a great place to relax in.

Soo, who had taken a running leap for a head start, practically flew through the gate. Her leap carried her past co-nal-Jaak and the Gate's stone steps, where she landed gracefully, spinning around in a circle. Nothing was gonna sneak up on her, she'd make certain of that!
Gathering her bearings, Soo lifted her head to sniff at the wind. This new place was much better than the huumns home! It has trees, sandy ground, and if she wasn't mistaken, she could smell a body of water close by. Yes, this was much, much better. This was a real place, one where you could run and hunt without being scolded.
Soo clicked and chuckled to the huumns, expressing her pleasure at this new place and reassuring them that she had everything under control.
Relax! This place is good. There are no dangers nearby. I can hear small prey, so do not fear, for I shall find us food. But don't wander too far! We don't know what lies in those trees...
She felt compelled to warn them not to stray. After all, huumns were weak when it came to their sense...and speed...and natural ability to defend themselves...and have you seen their teeth? They couldn't bite through a snukk's neck if their lives depended on it!! And even the youngest Aul-gao who had their new meat-teeth could chew such soft flesh as a snukk had.
No, the huumns were sometimes like cublings...they needed someone to watch over them.
Speaking of which...
Soo dropped down into a hunting crouch, stalking across the sandy ground, her senses completely focused on the small prey skittering across the field. In three long bounds, she had caught the creature, quickly jumping upon it and biting hard to end its life as quickly and painlessly as possible. Triumphant, she carried the food back to the gate.
Yes, this will do nicely...

Kaylee had been surprised when Jack had asked if she wanted to tag along with him, Daniel and Soo through the gate and found herself only able to nod, trying to contain her excitement, once the initial shock wore off. As she moved to step through the gate she gave the SGC one sweeping glance and then gated off. As soon as she was on the other planet she felt a cool tinge to her skin and she shivered, hating that feeling every time she stepped through the other side of a gate. Looking around at the planet she brought a hand up to cover her eyes so she could see better and squinted at the trees that didn’t fit the surrounding area too well. When O’Neill spoke she smiled and gave him small a shrug.
“Feels like a warm summers day sir,” she agreed, nodding her head a little. “Should have brought more sunscreen then I did.” Just like her dad, Kaylee had a fair complexion and fair skin to go with it... which usually meant for the McKay’s they sunburned a lot easier. Oh well.
The sound of gate closing off had her turning, just as something brushed by, rather quickly. Kaylee could only smile as she watched Soo, with unbound less energy take off, spin in a circle to face them and then sniff at the air. The sight made her wish her senses were as strong as Soo’s must be, but that thought quickly vanished as she heard Soo click and what sounded like laughter and Kaylee smiled.
“I think she likes it here sir,” she exclaimed with a grin, only assuming this by the noise she was making. “Right Daniel?” She glanced back at the archaeologist then turned around when she saw Soo leaving out of the corner of her eye and Kaylee raised a brow.
“Now where do you suppose she’s going?” she asked a slight hint of confusion in her voice. “Should she be running off like that? Or maybe... she’s just out to stretch her legs. I mean being cooped up in the SGC cant be all that great, right?” then Kaylee thought about what she said and quickly added “Not that it doesn’t have its up sides.” She tried a failing smile and quickly looked back at Soo just as she started to return, something caught between her teeth.
“Woah... holy - what is that?” she asked moving forward cautiously, staring at what was once a creature. “Looks dead, did you catch it?” She looked up at Soo, the question directed at her and wondered if she could understand her without the help of Daniel Jackson.

Daniel walked out the the gate and the stopped to look around for a minute, he then walked down the seeps that the gate was set up on. He thought it looked just like Earth, Woods and all that. He walked past the DHD, and on toward what looked like some kind of old ruins. It was about 6 feet tall and there was about 4 of them. they looked like long tan polls. Daniel sat down his p-90 and looked at the ruins.
"Hm interesting."
Daniel did not even bother to pay attention to the other team and had to clue what they were doing.

Soo cocked her head to one side, looking at Kay-lee. Even though she wasn't sure what her huumn friend had said, it sounded like a positive question.
"Kay-lee hungry? "
She trilled, tilting her head even further, ears flopping to the side. Pleased to be helpful, she placed the now-dead prey down at Kay-lee's feet. Flexing her claws, she set to work tearing into the soft underbelly flesh and removing the guts, careful not to break any of the organ-sacs.
"These will be most delicious..." She clucked, pleased to find how rich in nutrient they were. "What would you like to eat, Kay-lee? The flesh is most tender here...and here..." Soo nudged and tore at the prey's muscles, finding the best meats and sorting out the less desirable parts. She indicated the pile by nudging it away from Kay-lee with a sweep of her tail. " These we can use as bait...don't eat it, you might get sick."
Soo indicated with a sweep of her claws the array of good food this prey had to offer, nodding her head and smiling at Kay-lee.
"Plenty to eat. Please, take your pick. "
Looking over at co-nal-Jaak, she smiled, offering a particularly good part of muscle and organ.
"Co-nal-Jaak? Hungry?"

"Im full thanks though." said jack as he turned to see the members of his team arrived on the planet. Kaylee had began to speak about the weather adn how she should have brought mroe sunscreen. "Well, if the MALP said it was good here, then all you have to worry about is a little sunburn here and there, and it should be nothing." said Jack as he saw the lion like creature hop out from the gate. The gate did a turn about, and kaylee also added it appeared the creature liked the planet as well.
After performing some theatrics, the creature came back with a prey. The animal was dead, but she had brought it to him and kaylee. Iin the meantime, daniel was looking at some statues of old ruins. The beast offered some of the meal to kaylee, pointing out where the best and worst parts of the body where, and what parts would make her sick.
"Well im not hungry, but perhaps daniel is." said Jack as he stepepd past teh dhd, his boot going into the sand, he walked ten paces from the gate and took point. "Hope this world isn't like one giant land of kitty litter." said Jack stepping through the sand, making his way to the ruins not too far away. "What is up with the ruins daniel?" said Jack as he came to the pillars that he was examining.

Daniel was knelling in the sand reading the old faded symbols on the ruins. He understood what it all said, and knew about the false god that was once the ruler there. Daniel looked over his shoulder as Jack came over, Daniel turned his head to look as the wall.
"Well Jack, this says that the sun god Ra took over this planet from Lord Yu a very long time ago, Ra attacked Yu with all of his forces and Yu went into hiding, But it seems that Ra was looking for something that Yu has and thought it was left behind."
Daniel then seen it carved on the wall, i picture of the object that Ra was looking for, It was a ZPM.
'Uh, Jack we have to find this."
